Permissions
For all permissions enquiries, please contact ladybirdrights@uk.penguingroup.com
When requesting permission, please supply full details of the material you want to use, i.e. title of book, author / translator / editor, ISBN, page number(s), number of words or description / clear copy of requested image.
We also need details of the way in which you wish to use it, as follows:
For books: Publication title, author / translator / editor, publisher, territory for distribution, format, print run, proposed retail price, publication date, extent, description of your publication, context in which material would appear
For dramatisation / performance: Venue, venue capacity, ticket prices, nature of performance (amateur / professional), number of performances, date of performances.
For prop licence: Title of production, production company, format (TV/film etc), date of broadcasts, description of usage, territory for distribution. Please also provide a synopsis if relevant.
For other types of use, please supply as much relevant information as possible.
We will do our best to respond within two weeks of receiving your request; however, in certain cases we have to consult authors, literary estates or rights holders, which might prolong the time of processing your request.
