Each session follows a unique running order which the children grasp quickly, giving them familiarity and a sense of security at the club. The children start off with a special club song (the famous Max et Mathilde Rap!), chant club phrases, play party-games (always popular!) or play out some amusingly written scenarios; at the goûter they interact with each other, offering juice and biscuits politely and learning important phrases such as ‘J’ai soif’, ‘S'il vous plaît’ and ‘Merci’. Each week two children are chosen as ‘Max’ and ‘Mathilde’ – a great honour, and will be first to pick teams, offer drinks and snacks, and help the club leader.

And to cap it all, Session 10 is ‘Showtime!’ which is a chance for them to show you just how much they’ve learnt!
