This game is designed to help reinforce your child's recognition of the key words once he or she has begun learning to read using Key Words with Peter and Jane.

For beginner readers, start with the first twelve words, which make up 25 per cent of those used in everyday reading, writing and speaking. Then progress onto the next 20 and remaining 68 as appropriate.

As you play the game, explain to your child what the words say and how they sound. It helps to put it the words context by linking the them with an object, e.g the cat, that tree.

Our flashcard game is perfect for familiarising young children with the alphabet. Help your child to identify the picture, then sound out the word helping them to pick the letter it begins with.
