Nicola Warner

Nic has worked in Ladybird Marketing for six years. Nic is passionate about helping children to read and volunteers at a local primary school, working with children who are finding reading a bit of a struggle. At the office she spends a lot of her time planning in-store promotions and working on campaigns to encourage parents and carers to read with children as early as possible. Nic also looks after marketing for Peppa Pig, Ben & Holly and BBC Children's books. Quite handily her desk is right by the team 'cake station'. Yum.

Adam Hall

Adam, he’s well...Adam. We’ve had him knocking about the place for over 6 years now and he just won’t go away. Working with the design team over at Ladybird Towers he would say is an honour, if you could get a sensible answer from him. He likes to mix pictures and words together in lovely ways, and when he’s finished doing that we get him to do some work. Having two young children himself, he’s certainly no stranger to their world of imagination; in fact, I wonder if he’s ever really grown up himself to be honest. Well that’s him, he’s well...Adam.

Elissa Gay

Designer

Hello! I’m Elissa and I work on the Ladybird Core team as a designer. Ladybird is a fantastic and creative team to work for and since I started here 2 years ago my love and passion for designing books has just kept on growing. Designing for Ladybird books gives me the opportunity to create a variety of fun and fresh titles from my favourite novelty titles to fiction. I just hope that children get as much enjoyment out of reading the book as I have had creating it.

Nicola Bird

Editor

Nic has been an editor at Ladybird for almost seven years – how the time’s flown! She looks after series such as Baby Touch and Read it yourself as well as a medley of sound books, touch-and-feel titles and books with flaps. Nic also works on many of the lovely Ladybird apps. A typical day in the office can be anything from researching and planning new titles, checking proofs and correcting text to storyboarding an app or thinking up a particularly snazzy title. If you ask her any question about Ladybird, she’ll probably know the answer - or at least pretend to. If she was on Mastermind, her specialist subject would definitely be ‘The touch-and feels of Baby Touch’.
